Firmware is what keeps the Globe Tattoo stick running, and what helps the computer recognize the device. Your Globe Tattoo already comes with firmware pre-installed on it, but the existing firmware on your device does not allow you to make calls or send SMS. The upgrade process replaces the existing firmware in the USB device with a new one that allows you to call and send texts. The upgrade process includes the dashboard, and enables you to call and text through the Tattoo dashboard.



What You Need

To upgrade your Globe Tattoo USB stick, you need the following:

The Globe Tattoo stick
The new firmware .EXE file, which you can download from the links below
A Windows-based computer (Vista has some problems with reliability and stability, so it's best to use Windows XP)

Reminders

Before you upgrade your Globe Tattoo to enable calls, make sure to follow these reminders:

- When using a laptop to upgrade your Globe Tattoo USB stick, make sure that you have enough battery power to complete the upgrade process.
- Close the AutoRun dashboard of Globe Tattoo when upgrading the USB stick.
- Never remove the USB stick from the USB port during the upgrade process.

Upgrade Instructions

To upgrade your Globe Tattoo stick for voice calls, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Globe Tattoo stick into a vacant USB port.
2. Download the firmware and software upgrade from the Globe Tattoo site. Save it on a folder on your PC (preferably the Desktop, so that you won’t have problems finding it)
3. Double-click the file with "Update" first to launch the firmware upgrade wizard.
4. Read through and accept the license agreement. Click "Next" to continue. The wizard will then search for the USB stick.
5. Click "Next" on the succeeding dialog boxes, and click "Start" on the update wizard when it appears.
6. Once the update process is complete, click "OK" and click "Finish."

7. Then go back to your downloaded files, this time double-click on the software upgrade file to launch software upgrade wizard. Follow steps 4 to 6.
8. Go to My Computer, and double-click the Globe Broadband icon to install the new application software.
9. Click "Yes" to uninstall the old application and re-install the new Globe Tattoo application software.

Actually ang trick na ito ay pwede rin sa phone but i just tried it sa laptop ko at yun gumana rin, ginamitan ko lang ng manual configuration.

Mga Kailangan:

1. PC/Laptop/Netbook - others na pwedeng iplug ang Tattoo USB
2. Globe Tattoo Broadband (Plug-in USB) - must be zero load
3. Mozilla Firefox Browser (or IE Explorer, basta pwedeng baguhin ang internet settings (manual configuration)


Step 1:

Into the Browser (Firefox) TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> ADVANCED -> NETWORK -> SETTINGS -> MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATIONS -> just type s HTTP PROXY: sneakme.net
PORT: 80 -> SOCKS: v5 -> Others wala n po babaguhin. -> OK

BSNL 3G TERACOM DATACARD UNLOCKING TESTED OK

after stopping of unlimited data plans in bsnl 3g my bsnl 3g modem was useless

i searched internet but many forum says its not unlockable

but it was planned posting by some of the users who were selling this 4 MB software at price of 200 to 500 inr

1. uninstall bsnl 3g from control panel
do not uninstall drivers

i have started this topic for big solution in unlocking,

everyone know that huawei e1732 has costmized dashboard and can not be unlocked permanantly.

but my frnd said to me that he can unlock e1732 by using j-tag [RIFF],

but that is his comertial business so he doent tell me anything about it.

now major work is to find out
1) what is j-tag [RIFF] ??

this is a tool which is used for repairing mobiles.

Step by Step Instructions:

1. Green wire from usb(D-) --> ilagay mo sa green wire ng utp.

2. White wire from usb(D+) -->ilagay mo sa white/green ng utp.

3. Red (+5V) from usb --> ilagay mo sa orange + white/orange ng utp.

4. lastly, Black(GND) --> ilagay mo sa brown + white/brown ng utp.

So ung excess na blue + white/blue either na cut mo na lang or gawin mong reserve.

Another clear instructions from sir slayerquest for those who did not make it work:

1. use 2.0 usb extension nabibili po sa CDR-KING and make sure testingin muna bago bumili para hindi kayo magkaproblema.

2. UTP CAT5 which is white color wire and UTP CAT6 yung blue color wire. Pwede rin ang utp wire ng smartbro cannopy (yung dina ginagamit)

3. TAKE NOTE: Approximately 8 meters ang kayang iextend ng utp cable.. for example 1 meter yung usb extension nio na gusto nyong dugtungan you will need 7 meters of utp wire which is equivalent to 8 meters.

4. For best results, use desktop computer, hindi po gagana sa laptop kasi hindi na kayang supplayan ng power ang extension niyo. 8 meters yung sakin, 1 meter usb extension and 7 meters CAT5 utp entension.

Meron kasi ako dito 5 meters pero minsan 0.0kbps ang transfer data nya kung matagal ng naka connect at kung nag ddownload ako after 4 - 5 minutes naddc na cya.
