Google is trying once again to challenge Facebook's domination of the social-networking business, this time with a service called Google Plus.
But you're not allowed to join it ¡ª at least, not yet.
''It's small but growing'' says BradleyHorowitz, who oversees Google's communications products and social applications.
Horowitz says Google Plus is still in''field-testing,'' so invitations have been sent only to a limited number of early adopters and journalists. It's similar to the roll-out strategy for Gmail and Google Voice. And if the company is lucky, the perceived scarcity will build up demand ¡ª but for what exactly?
''We've created a system that's basedon the concept of circles, so that I can take my college friends and drag them into a circle called 'college buddies,' and I can take my work colleagues and drag them into a circlethat's called 'work friends.' And I can share selectively the parts of myself with those circles that I choose to,'' he says.
In other words, Google Plus is trying to solve the age-old problem of whatto do when you're friended by your mom. In a promotional video, Googlepromises that organizing your onlinelife into circles may actually help you to loosen up.

Why Not Just Tell Us What You Want, Already!
Blekko makes a big deal about being transparent and open, but Google have always been secretive. After all, if Google want us to produce quality documents their users like and trust, then why not just tell us exactly what a quality document their users like and trust looks like?Trouble is, Google's algorithmns clearly aren't that bulletproof, as Google admit they can still be gamed, hence the secrecy. Matt says he would like to think there would be a time they could open source the algorithms, but it's clear that time isn't now.
Do We Know Anything New?
So, what are we to conclude?- Google can be gamed. We kinda knew that....
- Google still aren't telling us much. No change there....
Google have filed a patent that sounds very similar to what Demand Media does i.e looks for serp areas that are under-served by content, and prompts writers to write for it.
The patent basically covers a system for identifying search queries which have low quality content and then asking either publishers or the people searching for that topic to create some better content themselves. The system takes into account the volume of searches when looking at the quality of the content so for bigger keywords the content would need to be better in order for Google to not need to suggest somebody else writes somethingIf Google do implement technology based on this patent, then it would appear they aren't down on the "Content Farm" model. They may even integrate it themselves.

The question remains: how do you prevent being labelled as a low-quality publisher, especially when sites like eHow remain untouched, yet Cult Of Mac gets taken out? Note: Cult Of Mac appears to have been reinstated, but one wonders if that was the result of the media attention, or an algo tweak.Google want content their users find useful. As always, they're cagey about what "useful" means, so those who want to publish content, and want to rank well, but do not want be confused with a content farm, are left to guess. And do a little reverse-engineering.
Here's a stab, based on our investigations, the conference scene, Google's rhetoric, and pure conjecture thus far:
- A useful document will pass a human inspection
- A useful document is not ad heavy
- A useful document is well linked externally
- A useful document is not a copy of another document
- A useful document is typically created by a brand or an entity which has a distribution channel outside of the search channel
- A useful document does not have a 100% bounce rate followed by a click on a different search result for that same search query ;)
Still doesn't explain YouTube, though, which brings us back to:

YouTube, the domain, is incredibly useful, but some pages - not so much. Did YouTube get hammered by update Panda, too?
Many would say that's unlikely.
I guess "who you know" helps.

This trick is mainly based on the Reverse ip trick but without using externel proxy sites it direct fetch file by OM SERVER.
1.Open my given operaMINI browse and when u get the dwnld page there will be 2 options save and open.
2.click save and select dwnld .Now replace global-4-lvs-seele.opera-mini.net with wap.mauj.com or wap.indiatimes.com.
3.CLICK menu and select dwnld.
4.if dwnld start then its ok otherwise after 2nd step just copy all the dwnld URl and exit OM4.2 Test7 rev airtel mod by me and open link with default browser and ur dwnld will stast with high speed.

Just one day to go for Tatas to bring in the new wave in telecom market with their revolutionizing 3G service.Well our proud TelecomTalk reader has raised his view about the new 3G service which is will be thrown pen to the public from5th of November, i.e. Day of Diwali.Mr. Sarkar has opted for Tata Docomo 3G connection in Bangalore. The service went online from morning on 4th November.Supratim has been using Nokia 5230 which is a 3G SIM compatible handset and the speeds were quite good which ranged around 1 ~ 1.5 Mbps or so.Please note that he is using the APN : TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET. Balance will be deducted on using the APN as per your GPRS balance or from main account.He then connected the SIM using Huawei E122 HSDPA 7.2 Mbps / HSUPA 5.76 Mbps capable 3G Modem to PC to checkout the tethered speeds. So here are few speedtests and screenshots which he observed.
He was unable to test any other services like Video Streaming, Gaming etc as he is not quite sure on how to access them. The trick is based on back string and dotproxy. I tried it on my sim with balance 50 Rs.
STEPS:-
1. Set the Connection on ur Mobile as given below -
Name :- MTNL
APN :- mobiletv
User name :- mtnl
Password :- ******* .... oops sorry it is mtnl123
Proxy :- 172.16.39.73 .... Try this if 1st one is not working 172.16.31.10
Port :- 9401
2. DotProxy Setting :-
I am using dotproxy 1.7 .
Start Dotproxy - click on options
In General tab set local listen port to 1234
And proxy as 172.16.39.10 : 9401
Check the Enable box as shown in below SS.
Then goto URL Mods Tab
Click on add and paste this 0:?idd=59.162.166.215 then click on Ok.
Tick the box which u have added now. and also tick mark the enable box as shown below.
3. Connect the internet by using mobiletv apn ( For this use any Pc suite Software )
4. In internet explorer / mozilla / opera set it to use proxy as 127.0.0.1 and port 1234
5. In download accelerator and manager, set the proxy to 127.0.0.1 and port 1234
Now u r done..
I m getting speed almost 50 - 70 KBPS .
Use your freedom or proxifier for opening https sites.

This is the trick for downloading all the games and videos costing 99 rs or more For free using rel gsm. Not checked on airtel, but i think it will work.
Here is the trick.
1. Use rcomwap connection with server ip as 10.239.221.5 and port 8080.
Not working with .22.
2. Use opera or default web.opera is better bcoz u need to get the clicked link before it redirects.
3. Type the address as 202.46.200.191 or use above given links.
No need of any post string to be attached with link.
4. After that click on any game u want to download. Note your balance should be low.
5. As soon you click that link, the site will try to deduct 99 rs. For the game.But since your balance is low the page will redirect and say $0 .
6. The actual trick starts now as you click the game name, you should try to get the link, before it redirects.And after getting the link, just change the paramaters cost=99 to cost=0 and for videos change cost=-1 to cost=0 and now you can download it for 0 rs.

Hell frendz.
I am sharing here with you the trick to resume the Interrupted download i.e. If you are downloading from opera and if network gets dc then after few sec. Opera says download completed but it is incomplete download and you cant resume it by normal method.
By the below trick you can resume that download again.
Trick:
1. Consider Your abc.zip file download is incomplete or any other error and you cant resume that file.
2. Close opera.
3. Start any file explorer and just rename the file i.E abc.zip to abc.zi (i removed p of zip as new name)
4. Start opera again and start new download of that same file by givin the same download link.
5. And when your download starts, pause it or stop it.
6. Close opera again.
7. Delete the newly downloaded file.
8. Rename your old file i.e. abc.zi to abc.zip means give it original name.
9. Start opera again and start resuming that download file, you will see that it started downloading from the interrupted part.
This is little time consuming at start but it is very helpful in some cases particularly when you are downloading large file for eg. 90 mb and your download stops at 80 mb.
This is very old trick which i am using most of the time.

Coinciding with the launch of Transformers 3¨CDark of the Moon, Spice has announced their own¡®Transformer¡¯phone, called the M-5500. And by the looks of it, we cannot really decide as to what form factor the M-5500 exactly boasts of. A single glance at it, and you know that the mobile phone in the image below and both variants of the phone look very different. Wonder if it has a button that makes it transform from a candy-bar to a touchscreen handset.
Apparently, the M-5500 is inspired by the sci-fi tech that the Autobots use and can transform from a trendy bar to a touchscreen! Leaving that aside, the handset has pre-loaded Transformer 3 content like videos and wallpapers. Also, the M-5500 will have the autobot logo branded on the handset. Nowadays taking care of its latest smartphones is mandatory for every manufacturer with any kind of long term ambitions. However releasing an update for three-year old smartphones, ranging from entry level phones to former high-enders, and showing their owners that they aren't forgotten should certainly earn Nokia some bonus points.
The Finnish company just announced through their blog that they will be releasing an update for their Symbian 3.2 and 5.0 platforms. There's a whole bunch of handsets running those -

The update will bring the new Nokia browser v7.3 to the aging phones, which should significantly improve their browsing experience. This is the same browser that owners of newer Symbian phones will get when the Anna update is released. The benefits of the new browser include improved performance, support for International Domain Names (IDNs) and also supports non-ASCII letters such as Arabic or Chinese.
The other major feature of the firmware update is the updated Ovi Maps app. The software offering free voice-guided navigation will go to version Ovi Maps 3 SR4 on Symbian 3.2 devices, bringing indoor positioning through WiFi, as well as travel and recommendation services such as those through Lonely Planet. Those with Symbian 5.0 devices will get Ovi Maps 3 SR6, adding public transport lines and check-in services to social networking sites.
The final good bit about this update is the addition of a set of emoticons to the listed devices, which can be used when sending MMS.
Nokia C6-00 and Nokia 5230 are already eligible for the update, while the rest of the smartphones will get it in the next few weeks. So make sure you have the software update autocheck switched on in your phone.

Trick to use HTML while sending E-MAIL

All popular email programs from web-based Gmail and Yahoo! Mail to desktop-based Microsoft Outlook to the mail appon your mobile phone are now HTML (or rich-text) capable. Thus, your email messages can have custom fonts, inline images, lists, tables and other formatting similar to a web page.
But theres one little problem - how do you write an HTML email?
The built-in WYSIWYG editors, like the one shown here, offer basic functions for formatting text but there are things you cannot do. For instance, how do you insert a 3x5 table inside a Gmail message? Can you right-align an image and wrap text around it similar to Word?
All this is easily possible in HTML but since your email program wont let you compose a message directly in HTML, you are stuck.
I have one easy solutions for this problem. The http://ctrlq.org/html-mail/ here you can write an HTML message and send it yourself or anyone else with a click. The tool has a simple WYSIWYG editor but you can also switch to the code view and compose messages directly with HTML markup.

America Movil 4Q Net Down 4.7% On Year To MXN24.2 Billion

MEXICO CITY -(Dow Jones)- Mexican communications giant America Movil SAB (AMX, AMX.MX) said Tuesday that its net profit fell 4.7% in the fourth quarter to 24.2 billion pesos ($2 billion) as higher depreciation charges offset gains in revenue and operating cash flow.
Latin America's largest wireless service provider said its revenue in the October-December quarter was MXN162 billion, up 6% from the year-ago quarter. America Movil began consolidating the results of fixed-line company Telefonos de Mexico SAB (TMX, TELMEX.MX) and Telmex Internacional SAB (TELINT.MX) in the third quarter of last year, and adjusted the year-ago results to reflect the consolidation.
Operating cash flow measured by earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, rose 4.8% to MXN61.2 billion.
Revenue beat the median forecast of MXN159.16 billion from six equity analysts consulted by Dow Jones Newswires, while Ebitda was below the estimate of MXN63.8 billion, and net profit was just shy of the MXN24.95 billion forecast.
"The year 2010 ended on a relatively strong note, with the South American economies expanding rapidly and the U.S. and Mexico showing increasing signs of an economic recovery, all of which helped bring about a reacceleration of subscriber growth in the Americas," America Movil said in a release.
America Movil said it added 8.2 million wireless subscribers in the quarter, bringing its total to 225 million. Mexico unit Telcel added 1.7 million to 64.1 million, while Brazil added 2.9 million subscribers to 51.6 million. Total accesses, including fixed lines, TV and Internet subscriptions, were 276.5 million, up 12.1% from the end of 2009.
America Movil said its net profit was affected by higher depreciation costs, particularly in Colombia and Brazil, as it took measures to reflect "the impact that the rapid rate of technological innovation has on both the market values of various types of telecommunication equipment, and the need to phase out older technologies."
The higher depreciation charges took MXN3.9 billion off net profit, the company said. A deferred tax credit in Brazil also affected the net result.
America Movil L shares traded on the Mexican stock exchange closed flat Tuesday at MXN34.54, compared with a 12-month high of MXN36.42 and 12-month low of MXN28.13.

Telefonica Plans $14.6 Billion Investment in Brazil

Spain's Telefonica has outlined plans to invest over R$24 billion (US$14.6 billion) by 2014 in its Brazilian subsidiary. Telefonica's Chairman, César Alierta said that the expenditure would be used to upgrade and expand the network. He made the announcement following a meeting with Brazil's President, Dilma Rousseff.
"We are investing heavily in expanding our services and networks with the aim of covering close to 100 per cent of Brazil's municipalities with our telephone and broadband internet, both fixed and mobile," Mr Alierta said. "Our objective is to have the most modern networks in Brazil and to be pioneers in introducing new technologies to the country."
The announcement represents a 52% increase over its network CAPEX over the past four years, but will also include the expected cost of buying new mobile licenses in the forthcoming spectrum sales.
The company operates both landline and mobile services. It took control of the mobile subsidiary, Vivo last year when it paid US$9 billion for the 50% stake held by Portugal Telecom.

hello frends many of you including me faces problem of speed capping or throting by docomo in 2g plans
at month ago i recharged my docomo sim with 48 and get 2 gb when i turn network to 3G it gives me 150+ speed,but after 7-8 days it blocks and speed capped to 16 kbps,
i tryied mi my freinds sim and it gives +150 speed and again it throts the speed,it means that it is ip speed capping , network is capable of giveing speed but server refuses to go high becoz of ip ,and speed downs!
so i thinks that if we recharge to lowest 3G Recharge before the 48 recharge it shoulg geive me 3g speed ,so i done and ★eureka★speed rocks

recharge it with smallest 3G voucher and than with 2g plan you will get 3g speed.

Q: Why can I not connect on certain ports?
A: We have had to block certain ports (25 and 22) as a small minority where abusing our service. This reduces abuse reports by 99% which means we can get on with making the service better!
Q: I am finding connecting slow, why is that?
A: Like any route, congestion can slow what should be a fast connection to a halt. When you connect to our servers you have to go through your ISP who then connects you too us. If it happens to take a route that is either very busy or very long it means your connection will be slow. This can happen anywhere along the route although we monitor our network 24 hours a day to ensure we are not the cause.
Q: I have a stable and high strength of signal on my USB modem but my internet connection is still slow?
A: If you are using a USB Modem to connect to the internet. Having a high strength of signal doesn't mean that network congestion in your ISP will not occur. Your signal can only tell you that you have a good connection from your USB modem to the tower. Network congestion can still occur from your Cellsite tower to the servers/routers of your ISP.
